ELEMENTALS birds show opens

All the beautiful artwork that we installed in St Lawrence, NY, has come back to Northern Ireland with us and is now roosting in Lisburn's R-Space Gallery.

We'd love you to come see what all the fuss is about.

Good times...'Elementals' project

I'm updating most of these posts from my iPhone, which is why the photos don't have their own captions, so apologies for that. BUT for the last 6 months RockpoolCandy and I have been putting together perhaps the most exciting/challenging project yet. I can't go into detail on this post, but once I get on the laptop I will go into much greater detail. Let me just put it succinctly, could you, as an artist, instil feelings of good will and/or happiness in whoever views your artwork. It's soooo easy to shock with lazy ideas, could you inspire? These are photos of one of the pieces I'm doing for this project. They are a snapshot of the salt etch process that again I will detail later. More, much more to follow.

Catch Up 03 - Ceramic Summer

I've had one of my most creative summers ever. Loads of exciting shows, great results in the Print Shop and I was introduced to the world of Ceramics. Now, I'll be the first to admit that I have trouble getting from 2D to 3D, but I fell in love with the processes involved. I learned how to press mould, how to make and use slip and got to experiment with loads of different glazes and firing techniques. It is a gorgeous art form and one I shall be exploring in mote detail in '12.

Marker Jam

Saturday was as cool as! MK came down and we laid down loads of characters and designs that will go on to form a 2 canvas piece. I think we were at this 7 hours straight, time flies!
