Wow! Well it's a few days after the opening night party. Apologies for the delay in posting anything but I'm still knackered. It's amazing how I can function on 4 hours sleep a night for weeks and then when I don't have to my mind and body completely shut down... old age I guess!
Anyhoo, the opening went brilliantly. I didn't get very many photographs but there are loads floating about. The was a great turn out for a Monday night opening a few days before the twelth of July (if you are not from Norn Iron then let me explain - the 12th July is the day that the Orange Order parade all over the place... and sometimes this brings a lot of disruption i.e the odd drunk riot etc., it's also when a LOT of people get the hell out of Belfast/ Norn Iron and take their holidays), and there were a lot of people who were genuinely there to see our art.
A big thank you has to go to Chris Caul for Djing for 2 hours and giving the whole thing a nice vibe, and to the two Trans girls for maning the merch table.
As I said I haven't got many photos of the opening but I did remember to get some of the artworks...so:
1) I imaginatively called these "Blue", "Green", "Red" and "Yellow" (acrylic and aerosol on 1m x 1.2m canvas - £250 each).
Ble and Yellow are collaberative pieces between myself and Filth, well I say collaberative.... he did the cool backgrounds and I doodled over the top of them ha,ha! (close up of Green)
