I was asked to take part in a dream show by Blind Tiger, all art based on Transformers.. I mean come on, I've been doodling battles between Autobots and Deceptitcons for decades now, so to decide to take part was a no brainer! I knew from the start that I wanted to paint 2 characters onto some old salvaged paintings I had. These old salvaged landscapes remind me so much of the 'painterly' backgrounds that cartoons used to have, then the characters would be overlayed with their crisp black outlines and primary colours. So (literally) the secenes were set.

...loved doing the sparks coming out of his severed head, a nod to Derek Riggs...

...had to keep the shepard and his trusty dog in the picture. I can just imagine him muttering to himself "and who's gonna tidy this freakin' mess up, me that's who..."
Loved doing these pieces, not my usual thing to emulate another character that closely but I think it's still definitely a Mytarpit.
