I've been working on a series of artworks for the last few days, and I'm really enjoying immersing myself in the process again. This series is for a show coming up in Dublin called Food Fight (opens 7th March). I've managed to bank enough time to let me have a few days run at the design.
First up are my 'Sugar Frosted Razors'...yum! I'm exploring the darker side of advertising characters in these pieces, something that has always fascinated me. There is always a fine line when you're developing characters for children's products between super-cute and super-creepy. It could even be an eyebrow at the wrong angle or crossing the eyes. So what I've done this time is step over the line and create 4 characters that would never see the light of day on kids food packaging.

I'm not sure about the layout on this one, might need to loose the detailed background, or make the details in the character more bold... not sure about the 'Sugar Frosted' look at all...
